There are quite a lot more working through their eligibility and Scholarships right now but this is a great group and we are really proud of all you have accomplished this year! Adam Coerper hits it Big!

We first covered Adam Coerper when Coach Toots Kaahanuii of Central Catholic HS in Portland Called to tell us that he had seen this 6'5" phenom run a 4.7 and run wild out of the backfield int he fly sweep offense. What Said I? Well 4 days later I caught up to Adam's father Walt and 2 weeks after that he was on his way with a PSU offer. This kid played big in a small town and the seaosn was over when all this happened. This just goes to show you never ever give up! We gave him some help but he did the rest!

COERPER MAKES A CHOICE!

There are some special recruiting stories in this year's football Class of 2008. But after this past weekend, no one of them could probably top that of Adam Coerper. The model 6-foot-5, 240-pound athlete performed in relative obscurity his entire career at Hood River Valley High School and even after a super senior season, only barely got Big Sky recruiting attention. But recent developments with Coerper have led to him stepping from small time to the big time after a trip this past weekend.


"I had gotten a phone call from Coach Rasmussen from Washington State about a month ago wanting to set up a (official) visit," Coerper said. "So I went up there this past weekend and I really liked the school and really liked the whole campus atmosphere. In Pullman, the whole town is into Washington State football and it's in the Pac-10 which is a big deal to me."

"They offered me Saturday night after dinner," Coerper continued. "I told them I wanted to come here and the next morning, I called Coach Wulff to tell him (I was committed) and he was excited."

NIKE SPARQ EVENT SET FOR HILLSBORO

TO ALL Oregon Football Players and Coaches:

This is your first opportunity to get to the First official SPARQ Testing Event of the Year. This is a great time to tune up for the Summer Combine events or to get some practice in. These are official scores and this will be a great opportunity to get tested. Here is the info.

Any Athlete that is going into 10th, 11th, or 12th grade is welcome

Free SPARQ Shoe Bags to all Athletes
1 SPARQ Training Kit for each Team bringing 20 athletes or more

Do you have what it takes? NIKE and SPARQ are conducting a team competition across the Nation for High School Football teams to find out who really has the best athletes! All teams that compete will receive a Team SPARQ Rating based on the performance of their top five athletes (every athlete tested will receive a SPARQ Rating and the top five ratings will make up the teams average). Each qualifying team will also receive a SPARQ Training Development Kit to add to their training arsenal. The Team SPARQ Rating will consist of components measuring Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction and Quickness.



The Football SPARQ Testing will consist of:
· 40 Yard Dash
· 185 lb Bench Press
· Vertical Jump
· Shuttle


The Individual and Team SPARQ Ratings will be updated weekly on SPARQTRAINING.com leading up to the naming of a Regional and a National Team Champion!



Every athlete tested will receive a limited edition bag tag and have access to set up a customized SPARQ Athlete page.

JC Schools are a great option if you want to go Big!

If you are coming to the end of your High School experience and those big schools have shown interest but just can not commit to you; or if your grades or academics are holding you back you have a few options left.

You can sure go to a D2 or D3 school and if they are willing to pay for your schooling that might be your #1 option. Getting your education paid for in the end should be the #1 priority after actually getting your education. So if that is an option you should strongly recommend that. But if you still think you have what it takes and if qualified people out there are telling you that you should get your shot than you might want to consider a Junior College Program. This is a great way to get your education started and will prepare you for a 4 year College or University academically. This is also a great way to extend your football playing experience and learning. Junior Colleges are all over the country but the California and Arizona Leagues appear to be the most highly recruited. A Junior College can be a great place to get noticed and elevate your game. These leagues however are loaded with talent and not for everyone. Before you walk on to a big school or walk out on your football Career...look a good JC over.
